This article refers to the Skate New Year’s Eve event in 2018.
It’s time to get your skates on and get yourself down to Somerset House on the 31st of December for this spectacular New Year’s Eve party.
The event is brought to you in conjunction with legendary LGBTQ+ collective Sink the Pink and the duo will be giving the venue a spectacular makeover for the evening.
Sink the Pink will be bringing their signature assortment of performers, pumping dance classics and fabulous fun to the Strand for what will surely be one of the parties of the year.
Visitors will be able to take advantage of the venue’s River Terrace to watch the Mayor of London’s breathtaking firework display.
There will be skating sessions at the following times:
20.30 – 21.15
21.30 – 22.15
22.30 – 23.15
However, visitors should note that advance booking is essential.
The organisers of the event are advising revellers to arrive at Somerset House by 8pm on the night and to dress appropriately as it is an outdoor event. If you are skating, you should also dress appropriately. Fancy dress is allowed however your outfit should not pose a risk to yourself or others.
General admission to the event costs £50 and there is an addition charge of £20 for skating.
