British Malaysian stand-up comic Phil Wang headlines this regular South East London comedy gig with able support from ‘The Mash Report’ star Ahir Shah, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Sara Barron and ‘The Magic Sponge’ podcaster Ian Smith.
Wang, who is the son of an English mother and a Chinese-Malaysian father, was the recipient of the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Award in 2010 and followed that up in 2011 with the Funniest Student Award from Comedy Central
The young comedian has appeared in the sitcom Top Coppers as wells Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. Wang will be joined on stage by Ahir Shah. Who has been gaining a reputation as a political comedy and American Sara Barron who has been channelling Joan Rivers with her sneeringly contemptuous delivery and put downs.
Plosive Comedy is the flagship comedy night from The MCT at Alleyn’s School, Townley Road Dulwich.
