Valentine’s Day Dog Walk

This Valentine's Day Dog Walk is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your dog whilst putting Mr or Ms Right through their paces. Peter Gray reports.

Valentine's Day Dog Walk

True love is hard to find. Don’t get me wrong, meeting someone is easy – anyone with a mobile phone can do that – yet finding that special someone can be difficult and time consuming.

I mean, you’ve been on a few dates, you find their jokes funny, they look passable enough in a good light – but how do you know that they are the one?

Well, if you are lucky enough to have a dog, the answer is surprisingly simple. Let Fido decide. It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Dogs have an intuition about people and things that is often uncanny. They are also date magnets with the ability to attract members of the opposite sex with alarming regularity. If you doubt that last point, then try this:

1) borrow a dog for the afternoon

2) Go to your nearest park.

If you are not fighting off attractive singletons within an hour, I’ll eat my hat.

“Ok”, I hear you say: “I’m sure it works but how am I supposed to practically let Fido decide? Am I going to have to start bringing him along to bars and nightclubs, perhaps?!”

Thankfully, there’s an easier way, thanks to a brilliant new Valentine’s Day walk. The event is hosted by the All Dogs Matter charity and all proceeds from the day go to the charity.

The event will take place on Hampstead Health on the 10th of February this year hopefully romantics setting off at 11am. The walk lasts for an hour and the event is followed by a trip to a pub where hopefully cupid can play his part.

It’s £5 per dog to participate and the most “loved-up human and hound” will win a prize.
