Comedian Iain Stirling is bringing his distinctive brand of humour to Alexandra Palace in London as part of his latest tour, Failing Upwards. Stirling’s new show will see the popular comedian play a host of dates across the UK with a handful of extra shows recently added due to ‘phenomenal demand’.
It’s been a busy few years for the comedian, what with his work as a narrator on ITV2 megahit Love Island. The Scottish comedian has become the voice of the successful show, which is now in its 6th season. Known for his cheeky quips and occasionally risqué banter, Stirling has played a huge part in the success of the show.
Apart from the ITV2 show, the comedian’s TV credits include children’s TV programme The Dog Ate My Homework, Taskmaster on Dave, and Stirling’s hit comedy gameshow Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility.
The star in no stranger to standup either, with a string of successful live tours, including 2018’s U OK HUN? X. The blurb for Failing Upwards on Stirling’s website describes the show thus:
“Do you ever wonder how people manage to be normal? Iain does. So much so he’s written a brand new stand-up show about it. Join the ‘star of comedy’ (The i) as he explores his inability to function in the most basic of public settings, social media’s constant pressure to “live your best life” and that one time a man stole his shoes”.
Leaving aside his TV and stand up work, Stirling is also known for his famous girlfriend: Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore. The comedian has been dating the Irish celebrity since August 2017, with Stirling and Whitmore rumoured to be living together in North London.
Iain Stirling Failing Upwards will be at Alexandra Palace on the 14th of November 2021. More information about the show van be found here.
