As this strangest of all summers draws to a close, I think we could all do with an alcoholic drink or two. Fortunately, that’s exactly what’s on offer at the Brew LDN Beer Festival this August Bank Holiday.
With the Notting Hill Carnival cancelled, and a spate of other end of summer events postponed until next year, this late summer Beer Festival really couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
For their big Bank Holiday extravaganza, the Brew LDN team will be taking over South London’s the Printworks, with a plethora of craft breweries (50 at the last count), street food from the likes of Prairie Fire BBQ and Only Jerkin, and more DJs than you could shake a stick at (although we have no idea why you’d want to do that).
Brewery wise, it’s a stellar line up- with the likes of Gipsy Hill, Verdant, Cloudwater and Tiny Rebel already confirmed for the event. In total, over 150 beers will be present at the festival with the usual suspects (Magic Rock, Cloudwater) rubbing shoulders with more left field choices (Sour Mormosa, Imperial Lord Snog Almighty). The festival will have two sessions a day (daytime and evening) with a range of socially distanced seating and tables seating up to six.
Not surprisingly, hygiene and public safety are a major priority at the Printworks, with Brew LDN putting a range of measures in place to ensure their guests are safe.
Visitors will be asked to book an arrival time within one hour of the opening of each session to allow for social distancing, and table serviced food and drinks will also help ensure that social distancing is maintained when guests are eating.
However, it’s the beer that everyone’s going for at the end of the day, and on that score, the Brew LDN Beer Festival looks like a surefire winner.
The Brew LDN beer festival will take place between the 28th and the 31st of August 2020 at Surrey Quays Rd, Rotherhithe, London SE16 7PJ.
