Trendy East London venue Skylight have added a collection of igloos to their rooftop ahead of the winter season. The pods, which are situated on the top two levels of the venue, will not only offer guests a sealed off space to socialise with friends and family, but also some of the best views in London.
The igloos also come with a dedicated table service, with Skylight offering a range of street food, sharing platters and cocktails to keep the party going. And with each enclosure designed to accommodate up to six people, the pods look like the perfect venue for a bit of socially distanced fun this winter.
If you’re not feeling the igloo vibe, however, Skylight also offer a selection of outdoor heated tables. Just like the igloos, these need to be booked in advance.
The East London venue are also bringing back their popular ice rink for Christmas 2020. The first rooftop rink in Western Europe, the attraction has proved a massive hit with Londoners looking for a bit of festive fun.
Tickets for the skating are sold on a first come first serve basis and we’d suggest you book early to avoid disapointment!
Skylight have been welcoming Londoners since 2017 and in that time the venue has earnt a well deserved reputation for the diversity of the events they put on. From croque & bowls to tennis and ice skating, you mention it and Skylight have done it. The venue also boasts some of the best views in London with The Gherkin, The Shard and the Walkie Talkie all visible from the venue on a clear day.
Skylight’s igloos cost between £30 – £90 for a standard igloo on level 11 and between £60 – £120 for the premium mezzanine level. The price includes access to the igloo for 3 hours, 6 welcome drinks and table service.
