Oh, we do like a festive pop up, and, in our opinion, if you’re going to do one – you’d better go big or go home. Thankfully, the Henrietta Hotel seem to have followed our advice with the kitsch, nostalgia fuelled Miracle at Henrietta Pop Up.
The event will see the popular American Miracle Bar winging its way back to London for another seasonal residency featuring festive cocktails, mouthwatering food and as much Christmas cheer as you can shake a stick at.
The bar has been a massive hit in its native US, famous for its kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and “the nostalgic energy of the best office party you’ve ever been to”.
For Christmas 2021, the company will be taking over the Henrietta hotel’s mezzanine level in order to “transport visitors back in time to Christmas past”. To achieve this, the Miracle Bar are recreating the festive feel of a 70s Christmas home, with retro decorations, coloured lights, and a massive fireplace to toast your nuts.
The Miracle Bar’s cocktails are the star attraction, however, and it’s not hard to see why, with a range of ‘go big or go home’ cocktails like the Christmopolitan (vodka, elderflower, vermouth, and absinthe mist), the Bad Santa (cider, sherry, cinnamon, and popcorn & bacon butter) and the Jingle Balls Nog (cognac, sherry, cream, milk, and spices).
The snacks don’t sound half bad, either, with guests able to choose from such dishes as Lamb and cumin skewers with spicy mayo, Chickpeas fritters and pickled radish and Wild mushroom and comte cheese croquettes.
The Miracle At Henrietta Pop Up at London’s Henrietta Hotel is promising a fun filled festive experience for those of us who like our seasonal activities overflowing with kitsch. And with the US based Miracle Bar providing the cocktails and food, this is shaping up to be a seasonal event that you won’t want to miss.
The Miracle At Henrietta festive pop up will be at the Henrietta Hotel from the 15th of November to the 23rd of December 2021. More information about the event can be found here.
