The Jordan X Off-White Collection sees designer of the moment Virgil Abloh team up with sportswear giant Nike for a micro capsule that will accompany the release of the Air Jordan 5.
The collection pays tribute to the legendary basketball star Michael Jordan, who was one of Abloh’s heroes while growing up. The four item capsule contains a multitude of references to the basketball star, with the Air Jordan wings and flying man logos to the fore.
The collection begins with a White and Sail hoodie. The front of the garment features Jordan’s famous flying man logo while the back of the hoodie is emblazoned with the words OFF-WHITE over Jordan’s famous wings icon. A pair of matching bottoms allow buyers to wear the garment as part of a two piece set.
The star of the show, however, is the Air Jordan V Retro SP. These trainers are quite literally bomb, with the cool white and gold colour scheme extending the legendary Jordan V range.
The collection is completed with a striking printed t-shirt featuring a painting of Jordan by the artist Philip Burke. The four item capsule is clearly designed to be worn together and judging by the four items, the combination is a success. This is one capsule that you will want to hit up.
