Arlo Parks at Village Underground

The Black Dog star is playing at Village Underground on the 2nd of June 2021. Peter Gray reports.

city:countdown’s Artist to Watch for 2020, Arlo Parks has announced that she is going on tour. The singer, who is set to release her debut album, Collapsed In Sunbeams, in the next few weeks, will be playing a string of dates in the UK as well as several concerts in mainland Europe in support of the new collection.

Parks announced the tour in a tweet to her fans on Tuesday morning. “Angels!” she said. “Today I announce my album tour!! The pre-sale is on Wednesday for anyone who preorders my album (go dewit) otherwise general sale is on Friday Revolving hearts I can’t wait to be dancing in front of you all again this record means the world to me.”

As part of the tour, the singer will be playing a gig at the Village Underground on the 2nd of June next year. The gig will be Parks’ first live event in London since she played the Steel Yard in October 2020. The full list of dates is shown in the image below:

The singer has been making quite a name for herself in the music industry in the last couple of years with her clever mix of R&B, soul and pop and her insightful, confessional lyrics.  rock. Songs like Cola, Super Sad Generation and Black Dog have clearly touched a nerve with the artist’s followers, and Parks has featured in quite a few artists to watch lists in the last 12 months.
