Win a Lockdown Essentials Box containing a year’s subscription to Netflix, £30 Pizza Express voucher and a bottle of Prosecco

The cold winter evenings will just fly with one of our coveted goodie boxes!

Single of the Week

Ava Fialho - Arena

Part of an exciting new wave of female artists, London based singer AVA Fiahlo looks set to take the world of pop by storm with her single ARENA.

The single, which debuted on Friday the 13th of November 2020, represents the artists’ first big UK release after graduating from the Guildford School of Music in 2019. Since then, Fialho has spent her days writing and recording new music in a studio in Hackney. Arena is the first fruits of that effort.

From its breathy gospel tinged introduction, to the insistent whip crack beats and urgent rhythms, the track hits hard and deep, with Fiahlo drawing on her Portuguese heritage for Arena’s clever blend of traditional rhythms and urban beats.

Congratulations to Louisa Parker. You’re now the owner of one of our coveted Lockdown Essentials Boxes. The answer to last week’s competition was Olivia Colman.

To celebrate the launch of The Crown on Netflix, we’re giving you another chance to win one of our incredible Lockdown Essentials boxes in our amazing weekly competition Win The City.

The boxes are crammed full of all the things you need to survive the lockdown. Things like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Britbox subscriptions and Nandos, pizza, chocolate and Prosecco vouchers. If we had our way these things would be available on prescription from the NHS, but hey, what do we know?!

This week’s box contains:

  • A 12 month subscription to Netflix’s basic package (awarded as an e-gift voucher)
  • A £30 Pizza Express Gift Voucher
  • A £10 Sainsburys e-Gift Voucher (for the Prosecco)

The Crown follows the story of the English Royal Family from the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1952 right up to the death of Prince Diana in 1987.

Previous instalments of the series have focused on the marriage of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the relationship between Elizabeth and her rebellious younger sister Margaret (Helen Bonham Carter) and the Queen’s battles with her Prime Ministers.

The fourth season of the show focuses on the younger members of the royal family with the story of Prince Charles coming to the fore. Season four traces the Prince’s relationship with Lady Diana Spencer from their first meeting and courtship, to their engagement, marriage and subsequent marital problems.

Elsewhere, the strained relationship between the Queen (Olivia Colman) and Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) provides another focus for the show, and doubtless yet another chance for Colman to show off her formidable acting chops.

So, if you’d like to suckle on one of our coveted boxes while watching The Crown on Netflix, simply answer the question below and complete the form.

This competition has now closed. The winner’s name will appear here on Friday the 27th of November 2020.
