Stone Island’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection sees the Italian label continue to emphasise its signature mix of innovative fabrics and clever technical details while also hinting at a new neo luxury direction.
The colour palette is much more diverse than usual, with blues, yellows, and even pinks featured alongside the more traditional Stone Island colours of black, green, and grey.
The brands’ staples are all here of course, with parkas, lightweight jackets and cool overshirts all included in the collection.
It is the newer items that really catch the eye, however, with the collection’s translucent raincoats and cleverly designed sweaters really standing out.
Indeed, knitwear provides a focus for the new collection with several key pieces including hoodies and jumpers. There’s a particularly nice design feature here which sees the brand’s compass logo massively enlarged to cover the entire body of a number of garments.
Neo luxury is another key theme of the collection. With this comes an emphasis on the feel of the garments in the new collection – Stone Island have used a range of organic materials in order to create a pleasureable wearing experience.
