Country House Hotel specialist Beaverbrook have teamed up with property group Cadogan for a luxury hotel retreat entitled The Beaverbrook Townhouse.
The venue, which will complement Beaverbrook’s Surrey based hotel & spa, is set to open in the summer of 2021 out of two Georgian townhouses on Sloane Street, Chelsea.
Preparations for the new hotel are already underway, with the two townhouses currently the subject of an extensive £25million restoration project.
Once complete, the hotel will boast 14 ultra luxury suites as well as a 60-cover gourmet Japanese restaurant & bar.
Acclaimed interior designer Nicola Harding has been commissioned to design the suites, which will be themed and named after well loved London Theatres.
The restaurant’s interiors, meanwhile, are said to be influenced by the 19th-century Japanese artist Hokusai. The artist is best known for his work, The Great Wave off Kanagawawho, which comes from his celebrated series of woodblock prints, Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
The Beaverbrook Hotel & Spa opened in 2018. Located in the rolling hills of Surrey, the venue quickly became a magnet for Londoners and tourists alike with its laid back charm and extensive spa facilities.
Now, the company are hoping to perform the same trick in Chelsea.
The townhouse represents Beaverbrook’s first London opening. Co-founder Ollie Vigors, had this to say about the project: “Luxury hospitality has been transformed in recent years and travellers now seek a more bespoke, personal experience that prioritises wellbeing and offers exceptional, tailored service.
Despite the current, exceptional pressures on the industry, there will be opportunities for creative luxury businesses to emerge stronger from this period and I am delighted that we are able to create 55 jobs with such an amazing partnership”.
The Beaverbrook Townhouse looks set to further expand West London’s already impressive hotel portfolio. Offering the charms of a traditional English country house hotel with the luxurious standards of the a modern luxury hotel, the venue looks set to thrill all who stop by.
