Classical Vauxhall is back. A musical feast featuring the best young classically trained artists in the country, the event has beaten the virus by shifting to an online format for 2021.
Jess Gilliam (saxophone), Zeynep Özsuca (piano), Elena Urioste (violin) & Tom Poster (piano), Hanna Hipp (mezzo-soprano) and the Navarra String Quartet with Fiachra Harvey (piano) are just some of the artists taking part, with performances of everything from Puccini to Gershwin.
Filmed across four nights in Vauxhall, the festival will give armchair viewers a chance to experience some of the best young classical artists of their generation as well as learn a bit more about Vauxhall.
The event is free, however, the organisers of Classical Vauxhall have requested that virtual Festival goers make a donation to the organisation’s youth programme – with the money collected going towards helping local children discover classical music or learn an instrument.
Classical Vauxhall is taking place between Thursday the 18th and Sunday the 21st of March 2021. More information about the festival can be found here.
