Following its cancellation in 2020, the Gala Festival is back at Peckham Rye Park in 2021 with another dose of world-class house, disco and soul.
And to make up for last year’s void, the festival has upped the day count from one to two which means double the fun, music, and spectacle.
2021 marks the fifth year of the festival and the Gala crew are certainly pulling out all the stops to ensure that the event goes off with a bang. This means an artist roster which includes Bradley Zero, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Dan Shake, Marcellus Pittman, DEBONAIR, Jayda G, Horse Meat Disco, DJ Paulette and Gilles Peterson as well as copious amounts of street food and top quality beverages.
The Pleasure dome will host a series of dance sets to help festival goers work up a sweat while the dance troop, Sue Veneers Club, will perform a series of eyepopping routines over the two days of the festival.
A spokesperson for the event said of this year’s event: ‘Some of the most esteemed, legendary, and downright fun names in house, disco, and so much more, will join us. In order to preserve the intimate nature of GALA, we made a conscious decision to keep capacity and site footprint almost exactly the same as 2019.’
The Gala Festival is taking place on the 31st of July & the 1st of August 2021. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Thursday the 4th of March 2021 at 10am and can be purchased here.
