East London’s favourite festival is back in 2022 with a thrilling lineup of acts and a return to its original two weekend format. All Points East 2022 will feature everyone from Greentea Peng to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds with the first weekend dominated by r’n’b and dance while the second four day event showcases a more eclectic range of artists and bands. Cancelled in 2020 and radically reduced in 2021, APE is back at its diverse and comprehensive best in 2022!

Gorillaz headline All Points East 2022

Damon Albarn led virtual supergroup Gorillaz are set to headline the opening weekend of the festival with the band performing on the first Friday of the event (19th August 2021).  The group’s live performances are the stuff of legend with a breathtaking mix of live action and animated visuals augmenting the band’s unique sound. And with over twenty years of material and a string of massive hits, the Gorillaz’s APE concert is already shaping up to be one of the music events of 2022.

Field Day

The festival within a festival is also back this year with the line up of acts including such musical heavyweights as The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk. Now in its 15th year, Field Day hooked up with All Points East for the first time in 2021 and following on from the success of that debut event, the duo are joining forces once again this year.

The Director of Field Day, Gareth Cooper, said of the 2022 festival: “Off the back of a successful year last year, we’re delighted Field Day is returning to Victoria Park to celebrate its 15th edition.

This year will be our biggest yet and we’re excited to welcome two of the most iconic acts in the history of electronic music to the festival, as well as a selection of the most groundbreaking artists in the industry.”

Jim King

All Points East is the brainchild of AEG executive Jim King. The self proclaimed music obsessive has said that he started the festival in order to tap into the energy, creativity, and positivity of East London. King, who also runs the Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park event, is a veteran of the festival circuit who began by organising the now legendary Creamfields festival in the 1990s. Following on from that, King organised the more established Bestival festival, with the event enjoying massive success with King at the helm.
