As Londoners prepare for the al fresco summer to beat all others, news reaches city:countdown towers of the return of those intrepid purveyors of outdoor flicks, Adventure Cinema.
The team have spent the third lockdown putting together another fantastic season of cinematic highs, and they are keen to share the results with UK audiences this summer.
Following the government’s announcement that cinemas can reopen on the 17th of May 2021, Adventure Cinema have announced their own plans for the summer, with a UK tour and five different sessions in London. The team will be at Enfield Town FC on the 22nd and 23rd of May, Streatham Common on the 11th to the 13th of June, Osterley Park & House on the 2nd to the 4th of July and Valentine’s Park in Ilford between the 28th and 30th of August 2021.
Films wise, it’s classics all the way, with such movies as Dirty Dancing, Grease, Pretty Woman, The Lion King, The Greatest Showman, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park on the way. Or, if fancy something a tad darker, you can see The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, or the Joker.
All in all, it sounds like one amazing event. So, if you fancy a spot of al fresco cinema this summer, there really is only one place to go.
