Following Boris Johnson’s announcement that nightclubs could reopen on the 21st of June, the Printworks have announced their own reopening plans, with a massive three day event called Redacted from the 17th to the 19th of September 2021.
Describing itself as a ‘pure celebration of club culture’ the weekend will take a “back to basics” approach to club nights, with the focus solely on the music – which means no social media, cameras, or other distractions.
What club goers will get however is three of the best club nights of 2021. The Late Night Movement on Friday the 17th of September will feature “purveyors of the underground, revered selectors and adventurous producers”.
Then, on Saturday the 18th of September, Printworks will host a daytime party entitled To The Floor. This will feature “dance music heavyweights and house-laden grooves”.
Finally, on Sunday the 19th of September the venue will host Low End Theories, which will apparently include “high-energy MCs, reloads, dynamic B2Bs, dnb crews and non-stop energy at 140bpm+.”
A host of artists will participate in the event however Printworks are keeping their cards firmly to their chest on the identity of the artists scheduled to take part.
The printing press turned nightclub has staked out quite a reputation for itself since it burst onto the scene in 2017 and if the details of the venue’s reopening is anything to go by, then the East London club is going to be just as popular in the roaring twenties!
