We really do love a new shopping complex that’s why there is no surprise that so we’re eagerly counting down to the opening of Battersea Power Station Shopping Centre.
The venue, which forms a key plank in the ongoing regeneration of the area, has been in the works for yonks but it does now look like smoke is emerging from the Power Station chimneys (if you get what we mean).

Once open, the centre will play host to some of the most covetable brands in Britain with the likes of fashion house Hugo Boss, watchmaker Rolex, perfumery and candlemaker, Jo Malone, beauty powerhouse, Space N and luxury Swizz watch retailer, Watches of Switzerland leading the charge.
Split across two massive former turbine halls, the venue will separate its vendors into two streams, with the premium brands in the Art Deco Turbine Hall A and the more contemporary brands in the brutalist Turbine Hall B.

Cinema owners Archlight Cinema will open their second venue at the Power Station, following on from the opening of their Arches Lane venue in 2019. Archlight specialise in high class movie watching experiences with super comfy seating, State-of-the-art Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound and laser projection delivering crystal clear picture quality. The cinema also offers a superior range of snacks and drinks with homemade popcorn, fine wines and even champagne available from the cinema shop.
Culture lovers will not feel disappointed either as the venue will play host to a unique collection of new event spaces in partnership called Battersea Power House. The venue, which will see cultural, fashion shows and music events, will boast a one of its kind glass lift which will rise to the very top of the Power Station structure, passing through one of the stations iconic chimney’ as it goes.

To emphasis the venue’s heavyweight credentials, world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua will open the site, which is expected to be complete by the summer of 2021.
The news follows hot on the heels of the announcement that Joshua’s BXR London gym had chosen the Power Station as the location for the brand’s next level gym.

Once open, the Power Station is expected to be a cultural, retail and leisure magnet to rival any in the South East with the owners of the venue estimating that the site will create over 17,000 jobs.
The Chief Executive Officer at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) Simon Murphy had this to say about the venue:
“We are delighted to be partnering with these exciting brands which set the tone for our retail and leisure offering inside the Power Station. On behalf of our Malaysian shareholders, we are delivering a destination for our local community as well as London and far beyond. We enter 2020 with a very strong pipeline of retail and leisure brands intending to make the Power Station their home, which we will announce over the course of the year as we begin counting down the days to the opening of this historic landmark in 2021.”
