And just like that – spring is here. Lockdown is easing, the sun is shining, and we can finally meet our friends again. This is the perfect time to transition out of the loungewear that has made up the majority of our outfits for the past 12 months into something more summery.
Now that the long dark days of winter are over it’s clear that we need some bright colours to get us in the mood for outdoor living. So pull out your summer dresses and long-forgotten sandals for all those picnics in the park, al fresco lunches and drink ups we’ll (hopefully) be invited to.
Here’s our tips for the coolest things to wear when London reopens:
& Other Stories Scarf
We love florals for Spring. Embracing the flora and fauna coming into bloom is easy with this lovely & Other Stories silk scarf. Tie around hair for a play on 90s trends, or wear it as a neckerchief to add contrast to a plain white tee.
Mango Glasses
As soon as Spring begins to brighten up our day sunglasses become an everyday essential. Square frames are back with a retro twist of bright colourways like these Mango lilac glasses. Also available in pastel green!
Monki Wrap Dress
Finally, it’s dress season and Monki has us covered. This wrap dress can be worn for years. For days, add sandals and a slouchy bag, or dress it up with heels and a clutch.
Bucket Bag
If you’re in need of a practical yet stylish bag the bucket bag always comes through. The soft green leather is easily styled with any colour and is sure to carry all of your daily essentials.
& Other Stories Dangling Ceramic Pendant Earrings
Soft pastels are always trending for Spring, and this year is no exception. These & Other Stories earrings combine a subtle blue shade with clever organic shaping to make a subtle statement with any look.
Mango Shirt Dress
Few things say Summer quite like a shirt dress. The classic colour combination of white and blue is easy to harmoniously style with strong accents of orange accessories or go tonal with navy. Endlessly stylish, this shirt dress creates a pulled together look with just one piece.
COS Oversized Linen Shirt
Linen remains the fabric of Summer months. The lightweight fabric is breathable enough for warm days as well as providing another layer when the sun goes down. This Cos yellow shirt is the perfect addition to brighten up any look.
Monki Crop Top
Monki’s crop top adds a pop of colour to any outfit. Pair with jean shorts on sunny days or colourblock with matching pink trousers also available from Monki.
Vegan Leather Sandals
Gone are the lockdown days of socks and slippers. We’re ready to step out this summer in these pastel green vegan leather sandals. Pastel colours compliment every colour so you’re sure to live in these for the rest of summer.
Oroton Light Blue Leather Handbag
Oroton is set to be the next big it-brand for bags. Oroton’s light blue leather handbag is a modern take on a classic style and sure to be a perfect addition to any wardrobe.
