Madhu’s is the brainchild of brothers Sanjay and Sanjeev Anand, who established the business in the 1980s. The company’s recipes have been passed down through several generations of the Anand clan, with the result being some of the finest Punjabi cuisine ever sampled in the British Isles.

The company are renowned for their unique style of fireside cooking or ‘robatayaki’, which utilise a Robata Grill (a charcoal grill with a wide and flat open fireplace) to produce flame grilled meats of exceptional taste and tenderness.

For the company’s new pop up at The Dilly, menu highlights include a spring lamb shank slow cooked in a blend of dry roasted spices and a secret sauce (Machuzi Shank), while cocktail lovers should look out for Madhu’s ‘Dawa Gin’ – a spirited mix of Plymouth Gin, cucumber, melon liquor with a dash of wasabi.

The Dilly Hotel is the latest incarnation of the Piccadilly Hotel, which opened in central London in 1908. Once a magnet for society parties, dinner dances and banquets, the venue has recently been transformed into London’s hippest new hangout, with an enviable collection of event spaces and a to-die-for position in the heart of London’s shopping district.
