Japanese noodle bar specialists Koya will be bringing their ultra authentic udon dishes to Hackney’s Broadway Market in early September 2021.
The chain, who already have branches in Soho and the City, will be opening at 12 Broadway Market on the 13th of September, in a building previously occupied by the quirky lunch spot Twigs.
The new branch, which has been described as a little sister to the company’s City and Soho sites, follows on from the company’s short lived stint at Market Halls, Victoria.
As well as the usual array of noodle bar staples, Koya Ko will showcase a ‘fun, revamped’ take on the chain’s most popular dishes created by the restaurant’s head chef, Oda.

The new branch will also feature a standing counter. A popular Japanese innovation, the counters are a common site in the country, with a high percentage of Japanese people indulging in tachi-gui (eating while standing). However, if eating while standing up is not your thing, Koya Ko will also have a selection of tables.
Anyway, however you choose to eat it – if you are looking for delicious Udon, then Koya Ko, Broadway Market should be at the top of your list.
