Yuca Restaurant to open in Mayfair this summer

High class Japanese fusion cuisine is on the menu at Mayfair's forthcoming Yuca restaurant. Peter Gray reports.

If you love Japanese fusion cuisine then you are going to absolutely adore Yuca restaurant when it opens in Mayfair later this year.

The Japanese Mexican hybrid, the brainchild of Mano founders Alexis Colletta and Romain Fargette, will open its doors in Lancaster Court this summer, on a site which previously housed the restaurant, Mews Of Mayfair

Set over three floors, Yuca will boast over 6,000 square feet of floor space with room for three hundred covers and a standalone nightclub in the basement!

While the menu for the new restaurant has not yet been announced, Yuca is expected to do for Japanese Mexican cuisine what its sister brand Mano is currently doing for Japanese Brazilian cuisine.

London’s first real Brazilian Japanese fusion eaterie, Mano opened in Mayfair in late February 2022. Based in the Regent Street Food Quarter on Heddon Street, the restaurant is headed up by Luciana Berry, winner of Top Chef Brazil and a semi finalist in Masterchef: The Professionals.

Now Entrepreneur Colletta and restaurateur Fargette are set to build on the brand with their new restaurant.  “We are looking to making Mayfair great again” says a clearly excited Fargette, with Yuca and Mano just the beginning of a far larger restaurant and hospitality venue opening plan.
